Reading Over Homeless On Campus

This piece kept my attention. I really liked it. It's really sad to hear of people who have to live in the streets for whatever reason and it's awesome to hear of people who are willing to help. Of course there are shelters and things that can help out but with so many people out and about on the streets looking for shelter it's never promised that you will have a place to go. I mean some shelters probably fill up really quick and finding one that isn't full has got to be hard. Toward the end it talks of the teacher who is identified as B.R. I think that what she did was amazing and moving! She didn't have to care for the students that much but the fact that she did said so much for her. This story all together was very interesting and I personally liked it!

Reading Over Meet Joe Blog

As I have stated once before, I am not much of a blogger. Honestly if it weren't for English class, I would never have had a blog to begin with. I dunno if that plays a role in this or not but the reading that we had to do for class bored me and made me wonder how people could really get into blogging like the people who were talked about did. People find all sorts of things to write about so they just get on and write? To me that just doesn't make since. I cannot sit all day at a computer and for people to find time in their busy lives to sit and write about whats happening in Washington State when they live in Virgina or somewhere blows me out of the water. There is a world outside of blogging so go see it! I mean blogging like once a blue moon or when something has stressed you out or what not seems somewhat reasonable, but to make it something like a job just seems retarded to me. Sorry if this offends anyone but I just think it's because I do not understand or like blogging.

Church Discussion over Helping Hands Form

The in class discussion the other day was amazing! Everything that was said is so true. One thing that was said (I think by Marley) was that Church of Christ people push thier religion onto others. From experience, I can say that is true. I was raised Church of Christ and once I got to college and out on my own I began to go to a church that was that was not a Church of Christ. Don't get me wrong, I love all my family and friends that are Church of Christ it just wasn't for me. There would be times when I would want to invite one of my friends to church but I didn't because I didnt want everyone in my church to start bothering them about their rfeligion compared to ours or push them into coming more often if they don't really go to church. I feel there is only so much you can do to encourage someone to come to church or to make them feel welcome enough to come back and I feel that Church of Christ members sometimes push it a little too far. But to end on a good note, the discussion was amazing!

Casting Crowns Concert

The Sommet Center in Downtown Nashville was slammed with a lot of Christian groups and people who believe in God from all over the place Friday night. Casting Crowns, an amazing and one of the most well known Christian music groups, was putting on a concert. The concert was amazing. It wasn’t just a concert, it was also a time of worship with God. Plenty of prayers were lifted to Christ throughout the entire concert, and during the concert they even offered people a chance to adopt a child. They did not pressure but encouraged you to adopt a child. Like the Rodney Atkins Concert, when they walked off no one left but continued to cheer and clap and go crazy trying to get an encore. Casting Crowns came out and gave their encore songs. Once they were done the lights on stage dimmed and the overhead lights came on. People then started to leave.

Rodney Atkins Concert

The Rodney Atkins concert was held at the Hoop on TTU’s campus, and all I can say is wow. It was so amazing! Phil Vassar opened and was outstanding. He played for about thirty minutes with fans on their feet singing every word to all the songs. The people who had no idea what the song was saying still could not help but to be on their feet moving with the music. Then Rodney Atkins came on and just about everyone if not everyone in the place went wild! He played all of his amazing songs with the crowd going crazy. When he was done playing, he said thanks for coming and left the stage. The crowd would not leave and started to chant “RODNEY”. He then came out for hi encore, and when he was done everyone finally started to leave.
